Kefa said to Him, “By no means shall You wash my feet, ever!” Yahusha answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”Yahuchanan[John] 13:8 (BYNV)
This
verse is so incredibly powerful! Yahusha[The only begotten and unique Son of YaHUaH], was not just speaking of
washing Kefa's feet. He was telling him, "If I cannot wash the filth of
the world from your walk and from you, then you have no part of me"
To me this speaks wonders! Our feet are our natural means of transportation,
taking us from one place to the other. Yahusha wants to wash our feet daily so
that our spiritual walk is not filled with worldly "dirt". He wants
to wash all of the world off and out of us, so as to sanctify us for His Qodesh Name.
Shimon Kefa said to Him, “Aduni, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!” Yahusha said to him, “He who has had a bath does not need to wash, except his feet, but is clean altogether. And you are clean, but not all of you.” Yahuchanan[John] 13: 9-10
Yahusha
is telling us here that if our whole bodies are clean (spiritually) then we
should only need to wash our feet, keeping our spiritual walk clean as well, so
as not to stray. He knows who is clean and who is not, just as He made
reference to Judas Iscariot at the end of this verse.
How many of us have bathed in YaHUaH's Holiness, yet we commonly forget to wash
our spiritual feet? they can lead us to destruction if we do not keep them
clean. We all have areas in our walk that we need some extra
"washing" on our feet with, and the good news is we do not have to do
it alone!
"You call me Teacher and Aduni, and you say well, for I am. Then if I, Aduni and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." Yahuchanan[John] 13:13-14
This
is wonderful! In the Family of Yahusha, He has washed all of our feet, so that
when we see a brethren stumbling or straying we can lovingly wash their feet as
well. He has told us here, keep each other on the straight and narrow! help one
another in Yahusha’s Love.
Though we do need to be careful and make sure that we are keeping ourselves in
line as well. We need to be VERY careful not to pass judgment on our brethren
in a hypocritical way. If we are having an issue in the same area that we see
our brethren stumbling in then we should either first pray that YaHUaH would
clean our lives and help heal us of this issue before speaking to them, OR we
can lovingly go to our brethren, telling them we understand because we struggle
in this area as well. Then ask to pray together that YaHUaH would help you both
to fix the problem, in this way you are not passing judgment. You are humbling
yourself before your brethren as well, showing them that they are not alone in
their struggles, but that there is hope in the power of Yahusha!
I pray that this has blessed you as the verses above have blessed me! YaHUaH bless and guide you dear brethren! May Yahusha wash our feet, and may He give
proper discernment for us to wash each other’s feet. Amen!

Yahusha's Love,

Yes we are to allow the Lord to wash all of the worldly dirt off of us. For he is returning for a bride without spot or wrinkle. Great article! Thanks and keep up the good work! Mel
